Minutes Special July 2005

Minutes of the Special Meeting held on Wednesday 6 th July 2005 at Birdham Village Hall at 6pm.

Present: Cllr Tilbury; Cllr Mrs Rees; Cllr Mrs Parks; Cllr Kyte; Cllr Meynell; Cllr Drew; Cllr Churchill

In attendance: The Clerk

40-05cl Declaration of Interest Cllrs Tilbury, Kyte and Mrs Rees declared that they are trustees of the Village Hall, and Cllr Meynell that he had previously worked with some of the contractors tendering, but was not doing so at present.

40-05cl Apologies were received from Cllr Ms Huskisson and Cllr Mrs Baillieu

41-05cl To agree the tender for the Village Hall – The Chairman tabled a paper detailing the prices offered by the contractors.

i) It was proposed by Cllr Tilbury and seconded by Cllr Meynell resolved unanimously that Birdham Parish Council appoint EA Chiverton to carry out the alteration and extension of Birdham Village Hall.

ii) It was further proposed by Cllr Tilbury and seconded by Cllr Mrs Parks RESOLVED that Birdham Parish Council apply to the Public Works Board for a loan of £255,000.

42-05cl To approve the audit – The Clerk explained the audit to the Council.

i) It was proposed by Cllr Meynell and seconded by Cllr Drew RESOLVED unanimously to approve the audit.

ii) It was further proposed by Cllr Tilbury and seconded by Cllr Churchill RESOLVED to agree the Statement of Assurance.
